Privacy Policy

Setforge is a strength-training app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android. It is published by Coingeit Technologies Private Limited and is built to work on your device first. This policy explains what leaves your device, why, and the choices you have.

Without an account

If you don't sign in, your workouts, routines, body measurements, photos and game progress are stored only on your devices (iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone). Nothing is sent to us.

Apple Health

With your permission, Setforge reads heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep and body weight from Apple Health to estimate readiness and recovery, and saves your strength workouts and active energy to Apple Health. Health data is never used for advertising or sold, and is never stored in iCloud by Setforge. If you use Spot's AI and agree to share data with it, a readiness score and body weight derived from this data are sent with your message (see below).

Health Connect (Android)

On Android, with your permission, Setforge reads resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, body weight and body fat from Health Connect to estimate readiness and recovery, and writes your strength workouts (exercise sessions), active calories burned and body weight to Health Connect. Health Connect data is used only to provide these features, is never used for advertising, is never sold, and is never transferred to anyone except as described under Spot below. You can change or withdraw access at any time in Health Connect. Setforge's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Location

If you use “Find my gym”, Setforge asks for your location once, sends it to our server to look up gyms near you, and does not store it. If you add a gym, its name and location are saved so others training there can find it. Location is never used for tracking or ads.

Motion and camera

Motion data from your Apple Watch and phone is processed on the device to count reps and is not uploaded. The camera is used only when you take a workout or equipment photo.

If you create an account

You can sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed one-time code. We then store, with our hosting provider Supabase, your email address, display name, workouts, routines, body measurements, custom exercises, game progress, workout photos you choose to sync, and social activity (friends, likes, comments, squads and duels) so they sync across your devices. Row-level security ensures only you can read your private data; social items are visible only to the friends and squads you join.

Reports and blocks

If you report a workout, comment or person, we store the report (who reported, who was reported, the item and the reason) so we can review it. If you block someone, we store that so they can't contact you. The person you report or block is never told who did it.

Spot, the AI workout buddy

When you're signed in and have agreed in the app, Spot sends your message together with your last eight workouts, muscle recovery, body weight, readiness score and gym equipment to the AI provider you choose: Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). It is sent through our server, used only to write Spot's reply, and not used by us for anything else. We keep only a count of how many requests you make, to enforce fair-use limits. You can withdraw consent at any time in Spot › Settings; the offline coach then answers on your phone. Providers' own terms: Anthropic, OpenAI.

What we don't do

Keeping and deleting data

Cloud data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account in Profile › Account › Delete account and your account and all cloud data are erased immediately. If you can't open the app, email yashsinghal0316@gmail.com from your account's address to ask us to delete it; we do so within 30 days. Deleting the app removes data stored on your devices.

Children

Setforge is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

We'll update this page if anything changes and revise the date above. Questions about privacy: open a request, and we'll reply there.
